This project

We live here : Sydney is a collaborative project between me as photographer, and participants who want to get involved. The idea for a project that gave me the opportunity to get to know Sydney and her inhabitants has been bubbling away for some time, and when I stumbled across a blog called i live here sf, I knew I had found an idea which ticked all the boxes for the project i wanted to do.

I got in touch with Julie to see if she minded me borrowing her idea and bringing it over to Sydney. Her response was a kind and hearty ‘Of course!’. To date, there are 6 ‘I live here’ projects, and I am honoured to be part of this network of photographers who are telling a story about their city, one person at a time.

I hope to bring my own style to my corner of this project, as it grows and evolves with more participants. I want to use this space to experiment with slideshows and mixed media – a combination which at the moment is very new for me.

In return for your involvement I will link back to your website as well as a CD of all the images from our shoot. Please feel free to use them in any way for personal use, and if  you would like to use them in a commercial context, please let me know and we can work something out.
